[ VALENTINES DAY '07 @ ZIZZ ]

So this year Peggy and I were determined not to be loners on the ever so sacred Valentines Day.  Without boyfriends, or boyfriends in the same country, this meant me should totally fool around throw an awesome V-Day bash! The loose theme was Red, and come on people, was it that hard to throw something big or small on that was red?? It was also open for couples and singles who didn't want to spend Valentines Day alone.

It was an awesome night and I thank you all that came.  You made my V-day truly special (for once in my life!) hahahah except of course when I spent it with my girls last year!

Thank you must go to Peggy, my beautiful co-host who helped make all this happen, with the nights spent at Starbucks calling all our friends and getting people to go.

Another Thank you must go to Anthony, director of CLUB ZIZZ who gave us the VIP section to do this. All you can drink and girls free. Thanks also for taking such good care of us and making sure our V-day was fantastic!

No thanks to Leo for showing up for 10 minutes and leaving.

Photos!

I haven't taken many (any) photos this trip back to HK due to breaking my own camera  my lack of a camera so heres a tonne of photos from other people's cameras.... only one night *dayam* but it was a good night! People passing out (and then getting up and starting again) and vomiting all over the place.... its a basic night out I guess?  Oh! Look out for my absolutely skankilicious boots from Japan!

MATCH #13: France vs. Switzerland

I watched this match after the Korea vs. Togo match at  Seoulria with Peter and I had a feeling by first that the game was heading for a disappointing outcome.  I found the 0:0 score not surprising at all really...

MATCH #15: Spain vs. Ukraine

OMG - This match was insane and I was JUST about to be going for Ukraine just to go against Peter.  Spain did extremely well and the Ukraine team did not stand a chance.  Everyone is talking about how great Spain is and I don't doubt that but I really can't decide whether Spain was just a great team or Ukraine just played very poorly? Hmmmm...? Well, 4:0 to Spain... *claps*

MATCH #16: Tunisia vs. Saudi Arabia

I took Peter home and then fell asleep after watching this game till half-time at which the score was something like.. 1:0 to Tunisia....Anyhow, 2:2... draw~ how utterly boring... I hate matches that end in a draw... >< Without reading up on the game, I can onl assume that the second half was a lot more exciting than the first.

MATCH #20: Sweden vs. Paraguay

HOW HOT WAS THE SET UP!?!??! Dude, I can't believe he got a yellow card for such a crazy manouvre!!  Sweden played very very well... and all were extremely persistent. After several attempts and only 2 minutes left on the clock, Sweden finally succeeds in scoring.  This game has made sure that Sweden is going through to the next round... well done for the very hectic 1:0 win.  But dude, Sweden was INSANE.... they jump kick ALOT... all over the place too!

MATCH #21 : Argentina vs. Serbia & Montenegro

With the score being 3:0 at half time I predicted something along the lines of a 5:1 win to Argentina.  They played superbly and I swear their 3rd goal was an own goal?? I think so... But the goals in the were really really exciting and the outcome is hectic... but not super surprising... looking at Argentina's ball possession, they truly owned this game.  There was no way that SCM was winning this one.  Dude, 6:0 win... woah~ absolutely insane!

MATCH #22: Netherlands vs. Côte d'Ivoire

Côte d'Ivoire was persistent up until the end and I think the game was just waiting to end.  The Dutch were waiting.... and they were trying desperately to keep the ball out of dangerous territory and waste a little time in the last 10 minutes or so.
2 1

Gotta say, first free kick was pretty awesome

>< not done... too many games

2006 FIFA World Cup

So, here it is again after 4 years and I can't say I have ever really been into the soccer until this year.  But surprisingly I have been really getting into it and reading up on all results, statistics and profiles of games that I am not even watching just in an effort to know how all the countries are doing. I watch as many games as I can but mostly I like to watch games where I am feeling strongly for a certain side.  Things are always more interesting when you approach them with a certain point of view.   Overall - I have become a complete World Cup fanatic - its probably all the hype. Hahahaha wtf? Gin would be proud.. (:

Opening Ceremony

Ok, so I know that this photo makes it look really beautiful but I found that the ceremony was really unorganized and a little sloppy here and there. I must ask... what was with those women floating in the air?! Complete accessories.

So my conclusion is: the Opening Ceremony was a little pathetic, I was with Peter and we waited for the ceremony and I for one was looking forward to something spectacular.  I guess I had REALLY high expectations so the disappointment was.... disappointing?

MATCH #1: Germany vs. Costa Rico

Dude, this game was amazing.  I wasn't jumping up and down cheering but it was really exciting, not to mention 3 goals in the first 20 minutes.  I knew Germany would win but I was secretly cheering for the underdog, I guess just because I really wanted Germany to lose the very first game on their home turf.  I have nothing against Germans, I just thought it would be funny to see them lose against the odds.
Nevertheless, claps to Germany for the much expected win.  Super claps for the score 4:2.

MATCH #3: England vs. Paraguay

I found this game really boring and once again, disappointing.  I guess everyone expected this to be a high scoring game maybe just due to England's presence.  Therefore, the win to England was not surprising but the 1won goal scored was just stupid.  England didn't even rely on themselves to score.

A note for Gin: Frank Lampard ~ Man of the Match... happy? ^^

MATCH #12: Japan vs. Australia

Hidetoshi Nakata

Takahashi Fukrnishi

This was th most devastating game to watch.  I was dressed all in blue and headed to Pop's house to watch it - stupid me chose to cheer for Japan in an all Aussie crowd.  I really thought Japan had it until the last 8 minutes of the game changed everything.  As much as I hate to admit it, Australia played well and Japan got very slopping towards the end and in a way, they deserved to lose in the way they played.  It was a highly defensive game which ended causing me a great loss of "pride" because I was quite hyped and quite sure that Japan was set to win.

Japan was anihilated in the process with a 3:1 win I can say now that I was truly upset.  Not to mention all the calls from people *crying* with me and all the calls from people laughing in my face.

*** And yes, I;m not stupid, the fors goal scored by Japan was highly controversial but I will die before I admit that it was wrong. Hahahaha

MATCH #14: Korea vs. Togo

Fans in Korea

The Korean crowd in Germany

This was a very controverisal game for me.  Due to the devastation caused by the Japan match, I decided that if Korea was to lose, I would stop watching soccer so that I wouldn't need to deal with the disappointment.

Entertainment Centre

Peter x Jess

Crowd going wild watching performances

Peter's friends managed to get us tickets to watch the game in the Sydney Entertainment Centre and it was great.  The atmosphere was fantastic - we were sitting in a sea of red supporters.  It was truly awesome.  We arrived at the venue at 8.30pm when the game started at 11pm but they had a pretty good line up of acts to entertain.  The KoreaBboy crew was there and they performed - it was amazing.

Overall, I think the crowd was losing hope when the score was still 1:0 to Togo at half time.  But *surprise surprise!* Lee Chun-Soo and substitute, Ahn Jung-Hwan managed to score in the half, each time sending the Korean crowd going WILD!

I was well aware of the fact that I was watching the match from a completely biased point of view with a crowd more biased than myself, so when Jean-Paul Yaovi Abalo Dosseh got a red card, this was the cue for Koreans to go wild once more.  Dude, (I'm just going to refer to him by his first name because I'm not sure which part is his actuallast name) Jean-Paul pulled down Park Ji-Sung inside the area and this resulted in a free kick for Korea - a beautiful kick delivered by Lee Chun-Soo.

Cars honking the beat to the cheers

>>> FORWARRRD! >>>

Obstructing traffic

* V I C T O R Y *

After the game, the Korean crowd went crazy and parts of George Street had to be closed due to the thousands of Korean's pouring onto the streets in cheer. The crowd was going crazy and we were amidst all the chaos... but happy chaos ^^

A very very exciting game and a great win to Korea (2:1) but Togo's loss meant that all four African countries had just lost their opening matches. Claps to Togo, despite much controversy, they made it to their first World Cup - their coach resigned only a week before their match (due to pay row issues) and was coachless unles mere hours before their match.

LOL for the fact that Korea's anthem was played twice before Togo's was heard before the start also Ahn Ji-Sung was named Man of the Match. Tae Han Min Geuk!

OK - So I am done for now, an entire blog about soccor.... strange~

ps. I still love the Japanese team (;

Well, the time is long overdue for me to update with a lil something for my beloved and ever-dedicated readers out there! I am screaming at a small percentage of the population so trust me, keep reading... it is so worth it... and if you don't read and comment - I know who you are and I know where you live.

So, yes, I am once again a very happily taken girl.  When will I ever be single? Not for a while a hope.. but you guys all know I don't discuss relationships on the blog because it sucks to read them afterwards and be all sad and crying... like "boohoo I pity myself for the teen relationship I just lost... I swear he was the one."

Want to see a photo? How about no? Hahahhahaha

I will blog again soon but I really need to email Gin.  I miss her and I owe her one big time.

Ask me why I blogged again and "I'll smash you in your face". Muahahahhaha

10 years ago:

- I was 9 years old and been in Sydney for 2 years

- I was best friends with Rochelle something.. omGGG I forgot

- I freaking loved the show Angry Beavers

- I started brushing my hair (all by myself)

- I had a main role in the school play playing a princess of pirates

5 years ago:

- I was 14 and had just started at boarding at Ravenswood

- I was best friends with Jasmine (Hunny Bear) Shin

- I was a highly emo lil girl who hated na dlved the people around me
- I went to Chatswood almost everyday after school to be cooh and "popular" and super Asian

- I had a thing for dressing like a guy... actualy, come to think of it, my wardrobe was quite insane and diverse.  I have been told that I dressed like a guy, a viet (girl), a korean and a honkie.

1 year ago:

- I was in my first year of uni, living with Gin, Peggy and Roni - smokinnn, stayin up and watchin cartoons.. yeah and studying

- I got a car and that absolutely adore and drove everyday... I still drive everywhere

- I planned on leaving Sydney and going back to the 852 to run away from the problems I had here....

- I was really lazy since HSC had finished and uni was so free

- I threw a fit because Gin wouldn't WALK to the video rental shop in Chatswood (right nezt to her house) and made me drive her AND pick her up and take her home even though it was a no stopping zone AND she forgot her wallet.... hahahhahha did I ever get over it?

Yesterday:

- I went to Shelley Beach with Mitch, Ayden and Peter to light a flare and play with an air horn ><

- I received a message from a guy who thinks he is my "god bro" saying he misses me and calling me "sis" ewwww.....

- I was still giddy from being with this guy I really like.... ^^

- I watched homemade videos of the shit the boys get up to with that video camera

- I felt tired and a little stressed from the the crap that I know I've been putting off

I am up - it is 4:30am and I should be writing an essay.  Instead, I replied an email to Daniel, talked a lil on msn and jumped on livejournal.  Spent the day with Peter, no make up, didn't get dressed up and didn't do any work.  So, I did nothing until the last minute and I wonder why I am not the head of my class. Not cooh.

I have had 2 cups of coffee and Peter and Chase just left my house after watching The Longest Yard and having some food. I was going so well!!! Suddenly my brain collapsed and I have hit a blank and I wonder if the shit I am writing now will even get a mark in class tomorrow.  Hahahahaha - *worries*

It is that time of the week where uni shit is piling up and it is that time of the month when... girls get more emotional =)

Dammit I need you GIN!

Other shit - my dreams are getting to me... I keep dreaming of shit that is really disturbing me.  Stuff that really reflects what I am worrying about.  I should really just read comics before going to bed, they make my dreams funny. ^^ Holy shit - I sound like I am stoned.  I promise that I am NOT

Down to my last ciggi.... signed a contract with my bro for $20 to quit in 4 weeks.  I get 4 a day this week, 3 a day next week and so on... it is so much harder because I don't ration them very well. As soon as it hits 12am, I smoke all of them and then go a whole day without ciggi's and then same routine right past 12 again.  Dayam.... ><

So, there was a quick update that was totally void of any real substance.... go me!
